Who We Are

C&S Consulting is a business started by Dr. Carol Wymer and Dr. Scott Wymer to allow them to bring their expertise to the business and science communities.

Carol Wymer, Ph.D.

Carol completed her Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from The Pennsylvania State University and subsequently spent 3 years working as a researcher at the John Innes Centre for plant research in Norwich, England. She then accepted a faculty position in Biology at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY, where she taught for 16 years and achieved the rank of Full Professor.

Most recently, she has been applying her extensive skills in microscopy to research in palynology, the study of pollen, spores, and other microfossils.  Setting up a honey processing and analysis laboratory for CSSC, she is doing on-going work analyzing the pollen content of honey.

Scott Wymer, Ph.D.

Scott also completed his Ph.D. at The Pennsylvania State University in Engineering Mechanics, working heavily with advanced computational modelling.  As a successful entrepreneur he has utilized his expertise in programming and IT starting 3 different companies specializing in software development and data processing.  He also spent 14 years teaching Information Systems at Morehead State University, attaining the rank of Associate Professor. 

Scott now works as an executive-level consultant with early and mid-stage software companies.
